We kicked off our Italy vacation at this wonderful farm tucked away in St. Magdelena. Since we were arriving via Munich, I had been looking for a place in the Dolomite area, and felt fortunate to stumble upon a blog that highly recommended this place, particularly for its access to hiking trails. It did not disappoint. Our double room Raschotz was modern and clean, and the bed was super comfortable. The whole place was very well taken care of and the staff, led by Andreas, was very helpful and accommodating. In fact, I had sent several questions about the logistics and terrain even before I arrived and Andreas always answered every question promptly and thoroughly, ensuring we had no glitches in our arrival since we were coming by public transportation. Speaking of, the bus stop is a short 8 minute walk and the electronic Dolomite pass we received with our booking allowed us to reach the nearby villages and hiking trails easily and without fuss. Breakfast every morning was fresh and offered a variety of hot and cold dishes as well as beverages, and there were enough nearby restaurants within walking distance for lunch and dinner. The view from the farm is just breathtaking and we will never forget it. On our checkout day, Andreas even drove us and our luggage to the bus stop. Thanks to the Messner family for a wonderful trip.
The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Parking was easy, and the host was very kind, even arranged the room we requested. At check-in, we were greeted by the lovely mom who gave us great tips.
The location is amazing, surrounded by wide open meadows with stunning views. No alarm clock needed here, the morning cowbells will gently wake you up.

An amazingly beautiful location. Wonderful breakfast. The family is extremely helpful and kind. Clean and comfy rooms. I would recommend this to all.
Perfect place to stay in Santa Magdalena. Walking distant up to St.Magdalena church. The view is amazing. The rooms are new, clean, modern, and big. The bed is so comfortable and the room is very quiet at night. We have a great time here.

We were being navigated by iphone maps and ended up somewhere else. Thank God, an elderly lady helped us out ( You'd better speak some German ).
Location: The Santa Magdalena Panorama trail starts just a few meters / feet away.
View on the Odle/Geisler mountains right from the hotel’s parking lot.
Room: We’ve stayed for 2 nights ( October 2024 ) in a room on a ground floor facing the parking lot.
It was really quiet, could not hear the cars entering or leaving the premises.
If you plan to stay any longer, you’d better off booking an apartment.
The room is pretty much basic, really tiny, please do not bring your monstrous suitcases with you:))
Amenities: No coffee maker and mini fridge inside the room.
Do not hesitate to ask the host Andreas to borrow you a water kettle.
Breakfast: Variety of delicious choices

One of the best places I’ve been.
The family owning the hotel are very helpful and friendly.
The rooms are very clean and tidy. We went there with our 10 month old baby back in July and stayed in a double room. The room had everything we needed, but if you are not co-sleeping with your baby you should book a bigger room. The breakfast was exceptional and you can order eggs by your preference.
The location is also great. It is very close to several hiking trails and there is a public transport stop close by. There is a spectacular view from the hotel and we’ve spent the afternoons after our hikes just admiring it.
Only thing we regretted is not staying there for our whole holiday.
We would definitely visit again!
